OWWW my back is hurting and my eyes are burning- time for a break!
I LOVE THIS ONE BY THE WAY
x) How humble of me.
I used the pencil tool more, because it didn't look good when I tried to just flesh the detail out with colours and no clear contours. I have no idea why I couldn't get that pastel effect again, maybe not enough texturing? Anyway, I like the rough look of it : )
DON'T WORRY CYNDAQUIL YOU'RE NOT UGLY
I LOVE YOUR ROUGH OUTLINES
D: OH I DON'T KNOW! MAYBE I NEED TO FIX THIS! It's so cool, but I messed it up with the pen tool too much maybe >.<
I love that pose and expression! Gives Cyndaquil's design a slightly different flair (whatnot with that fur curl above the nose and the very blushy cheek).
You may want to experiment with softening the outlines (by making them match the colour of what they're surrounding a bit) or finding a way to make them look less jagged and more continuous - it's particularly noticeable on the feet and on the head markings. Are you using a mouse, like me? It can be tough to get used to making smooth-looking lines without many pixels of width.
No, I'm using a graphic tablet! You should get one too it's way too hard to draw with a mouse! How do you do it?!
I think your idea is really good! I might just redo this one : ) The pixels are there because I used the pen tool, which is very pixelated (in gimp)...In retrospective, it was a very bad idea
MSPAINT!!1111 ...for pixel art. Just using Photoshop CS5 for anything beyond pixels, really - I don't use too many of the tools, since I try to not synthesize my way of drawing too much (and because I don't know them well enough, hah!).
...you should do Totodile... just sayin cause I'm biased.
or does that ruggedness have a charm to it?
DO NOT WANT RUGGEDNESS
NOPE
NOES

What software do you use?
